Dolby Atmos® Cinema Processor CP850 Base Configuration

DOLBY ATMOS CINEMA PROCESSOR CP850 BASE CONFIGURATION

Dolby Atmos® represents the future of cinema audio, but we recognize that equipping a cinema for a fully immersive Dolby Atmos experience may not be practical for every situation today. For that reason, we now offer the Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850 Base Configuration.

The Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850 Base Configuration will play back traditional Dolby® Surround 7.1 and 5.1 formats as well as render select Dolby Atmos titles to a Dolby Surround 7.1. It includes the same advanced equalization and other audio features as the fully enabled Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850, so you can ensure that your cinema is ready for the future while adding a number of sound improvements now. Dolby Atmos marketing support is exclusive to theatres with the fully enabled Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850. The Dolby CP850 Base includes the following feature enablement: • Dolby Atmos Connect enablement to individual amplification and equalization of the surround speakers • Dolby Atmos (7.1) enablement to render select Dolby Atmos titles to Dolby Surround 7.1
• Internal crossover enablement, which eliminates the need for an external active crossover for screen loudspeakers

Dolby Atmos® Connect Interface DAC3202

The Dolby DAC3202 allows you to use legacy amplifiers in Dolby Atmos installations. The Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850 or IMS3000 employ an audio-over-Ethernet protocol to send a digital audio stream to Dolby DAC3202. A DAC3202 converts the digital audio stream to analog audio (up to 32 outputs) for connection to
amplifiers. A Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850 together with a single DAC3202 can support up to 48 speaker feeds (using the 16 analog outputs on the CP850). Installations with more than 48 speaker feeds will need two DAC3202s.

Dolby® Storage Server and Integrated Media Block—ShowVault/IMB

The Dolby® ShowVault/IMB solution includes several advanced features, such as dual 3G HD-SDI inputs, HDMI® 3D input with HDCP, 4K playback support, and scaling capabilities to 2K or 4K resolutions. The Dolby ShowVault is a dedicated storage server capable of playing back 2D, 3D, and high-frame-rate (HFR) SMPTE and Interop DCPs, and it has been specifically developed to interface with the Dolby Integrated Media Block (IMB). The Dolby ShowVault loads digital content and dispenses files electronically to the IMB via an external PCI Express cable. The Dolby IMB also supports deinterlacing of 1080i inputs and automatically converts incoming formats to avoid switching formats on the projector. All video inputs utilize a single audio output via RJ-45 for simple cabling to your audio processor of choice.
